2024 Toyota 4Runner: The Toyota 4Runner gets a new Terra trim that introduces a medium-brown exterior and interior theme, but otherwise remains unchanged for 2024. The 4Runner is a midsize SUV that seats 5 passengers. Competitors include the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Honda Passport, and Ford Edge. An off-road trim is available.
There are seven trims offered: SR5, SR5 Premium, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, Limited, and TRD Pro. There is only one engine available: A 4.0-liter V6 that makes 270 horsepower and pairs with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel-drive is standard with four-wheel-drive being optional. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 5,000 pounds.
The 4Runner TRD Pro is the range-topping, most off-road capable model of the lineup. It features a lifted suspension outfitted with Fox shocks, as well as low-range four-wheel drive with crawl mode for technical off-roading. TRD Pro also features a unique exterior and interior, as well as trim-specific wheels and tires. Pricing ranges from $42,000 to $57,000.
