Ford Bronco Wildland Firefighting Command Rig: The Ford Bronco Wildland Firefighting Command Rig is a specialty-built SUV designed to traverse extreme terrain and aid in wildfires. It was built by Ford Motor Company and vehicle outfitter Darley, and donated to the National Park Service for use in the Bandolier National Monument.
It features mechanical enhancements to allow it to tackle extreme off-road terrain, as well as integrated satellite and cellular radios, a tablet, a drone, and other technology to survey the 33,000 acres where the vehicle will reside. It also sports 35-inch off-road tires, a winch, and front and rear locking differentials.
