2024 Subaru Solterra: The Subaru Solterra gets a solid round of updates for 2024. It now offers improved charging performance that helps it charge from 10% to 80% in just 35 minutes. Also, Subaru EyeSight is now standard, which includes hands-free driving at speeds up to 25 mph. Solterra is a compact electric crossover that seats 5 passengers. Competitors include the Toyota BZ4X, Tesla Model Y, Nissan Ariya, Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Volkswagen ID.4.

Three trims are offered: Premium, Limited, and Touring. Only one drivetrain is available: A 72.8-kWh battery pack provides 215 horsepower and 249 pound-feet of torque, which translates into a maximum possible range of 227 miles on a full charge. Only all-wheel-drive models are offered. Like all Subaru wagons, the Solterra is designed with ruggedness in mind, boasting 8.3 inches of ground clearance. Pricing ranges from $46,000 to $56,000
