2023 Ford Transit: The Ford Transit sees the addition of a brand-new model to its lineup, the Ford Transit Trail. The rugged new variant offers a wider track, lifted suspension, all-terrain tires, and a more rugged appearance. The rest of the lineup ditches the old 8-inch infotainment screen for a new, 12-inch unit featuring Sync4. Transit is a large commercial van that can be configured in hundreds of ways for cargo or passenger transportation. It is offered in standard and long-wheelbase form and with a standard roof and a high roof. Competitors include the Nissan NV and Ram ProMaster.
Three trims are offered: Cargo Van, Crew Van, and Transit Trail. Two engines are available: A 3.5-liter V6 that makes 275 horsepower and a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that makes 310 horsepower. Both engines pair to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive being optional. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 7,500 pounds. Pricing ranges from $45,000 to $68,000.
