2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: The Chevrolet Silverado gets a new ZR2 Bison trim for 2023, as well as a 28-horsepower increase to its 3.0-liter inline six engine. The ZR2 Bison enhances the truck’s off-road capabilities by improving clearance angles, fitting 33-inch mud-terrain tires, and protecting the body and underbody of the truck. Silverado 1500 is a full-size pickup truck that's offered in regular cab, double cab and crew cab body styles that seat from 3 to 5 passengers. Competitors include the Ford F-150, GMC Sierra 1500, Nissan Titan, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tacoma. An electric variant called Silverado EV is expected to launch in 2023.
Eight trims are offered: WT, Custom, LT, Trail Boss, RST, LTZ, ZR2 Bison, and High Country. Four powertrain combinations are available: A turbocharged 2.7-liter 4-cylinder that produces 310 horsepower and pairs with an 8-speed automatic, a 5.3-liter V8 with 355 horsepower that pairs to a 10-speed automatic, and a 3.0-liter inline-6 turbodiesel that makes 277 horsepower and pairs with a 10-speed automatic. Maximum towing capacity is 9,700 pounds. Rear- and four-wheel-drive models are offered. Pricing ranges from $35,000 to $65,000.
