2021 Toyota Tacoma: The Toyota Tacoma sees the addition of a new Nightshade and Trail Edition packages, which add trim-specific wheels, body molding, and other performance parts for 2021. The Tacoma is a midsize pickup truck that seats 5 passengers. Competitors include the Honda Ridgeline, Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Ford Ranger.
Rear-wheel-drive is standard with four-wheel-drive being optional. Two cab sizes are offered: Double Cab and Access Cab. There are six trim levels available: SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited and TRD Pro. Two engines offered: A 2.7-liter 4-cylinder that produces 159 horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 278 horsepower. The 4-cylinder is available with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, while the V6 is available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 6,400 pounds.
Available driver-assist technology includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rearview camera with cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlights. Pricing has not been released.
