2019 Ford Transit Connect: The 2019 Ford Transit Connect is a 5-, 6-, or 7-passenger car that's only available as a minivan. Only front-wheel-drive models are offered. Competitors include the Nissan NV200 and Ram ProMaster City. For 2019, it sees an exterior and interior design refresh, two new powertrains and new high-tech driver-assist features.
There are three engines available: An all-new 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine (horsepower not yet released), a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 150 horsepower and a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that produces 169 horsepower. The 1.5- and 2.0-liter engines pair to a new 8-speed automatic transmission and the 2.5-liter to a 6-speed automatic.
There are three trims available: XL, XLT, and Titanium. Available features include SYNC 3 with Alexa connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, leather seats, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control and a sunroof. Safety features include rearview camera, blind-spot information system with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist and pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection.
