2019 Ford Ranger: Six years after the last Ranger rolled out of the production line, the new 2019 Ranger has announced its return to the North American market. The anxiously awaited midsize truck will compete with other bestsellers like the Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado, and Nissan Frontier. The Ranger is all new for 2019.
Initially, only one engine will be available: A 2.3-liter twin-turbo four-cylinder engine that pairs to a new 10-speed automatic transmission. The Ranger will be rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive will be available.
The Ranger will be offered in XL, XLT, and Lariat trims. Available features will include Ford's Sync 3 multimedia and infotainment systems, adaptive cruise control, premium audio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and in-truck Wi-Fi hotspot. Cab options will include SuperCab and SuperCrew.
Safety features include rearview camera, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring.
