2018 Subaru WRX

2018 Subaru WRX: The 50th Anniversary Edition of the 2018 Subaru WRX debuted at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show. The Subaru WRX and its STI performance variant are compact, four-door sedans that compete with the Ford Focus RS, Mazda 3, Volkswagen Golf GTI, and Golf R. For 2018, WRX front-end and interior styling have been revised, the suspension reworked, and a performance package made available. STI trim also gets a new Brembo brake system with yellow brake calipers and Recaro sports seats.

The WRX is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged flat-four cylinder engine that makes 268 horsepower and pairs to either a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT). The STI has a 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four cylinder that makes 305 horsepower and mates to a six-speed manual transmission. Both versions have all-wheel drive.

Available features include multimedia system, heated front seats, USB, Bluetooth, keyless entry, navigation, premium audio, leather seats, and satellite radio. Safety features include blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic detection, EyeSight driver-assist technology, rear-view camera, stability control, traction control, and dual-front, front-side, driver-knee and side-curtain airbags.
