2018 Mercedes-Benz G

2018 Mercedes-Benz G-Class: The 2018 Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a high-end luxury SUV that boasts boxy looks representative of its military past. The current generation of this hand-built SUV has been on the market since 1979. The G-Class has few direct competitors, with the Land Rover Range Rover, and Toyota Land Cruiser coming closest. For 2018 it sees the addition of two new exterior colors, but otherwise remains unchanged.

There are three different engines: A 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 416 horsepower, a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 563 horsepower, and a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 that makes 621 horsepower. All pair to seven-speed automatic transmissions and all G-Class models are all-wheel drive.

There are four trims available: G 500, G 500 4x4, AMG G 63, and AMG G 65. Available features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, rear-seat entertainment, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, dual-zone climate control, heated windshield, Bluetooth, USB, satellite radio, adjustable suspension.

Available safety features include blind-spot assist, park assist, rear-view camera, distance-based cruise control, a suite of standard airbags.
