GMC

GMC, which markets only pickups and SUVs, is one of four brands owned by General Motors. In fact, GMC’s history goes back to GM’s early days. In 1909, only a year after GM was founded, GM purchased the Rapid Motor Vehicle Company. This formed the basis of the General Motors Truck Company, from which the "GMC Truck" brand name was derived. Today, the brand’s "Professional Grade" image appeals to upscale buyers and generally offer more power, more features or more luxury than their GM counterparts.
