Chevrolet was founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant. It’s the cornerstone brand of cars and trucks produced by General Motors. Other GM lines include Buick, Cadillac and GMC. Through the years Chevrolet and its bowtie logo have become a few of the most recognized brands in the world. Two notable achievements include the introduction of the small-block V8 engine in late 1954 and the continued production of the Chevrolet Corvette. Today, Chevrolet has become a global brand and sells vehicles in many countries around the world, including Europe, the Middle East and China. Chevrolet’s world headquarters are in Detroit, Michigan.
