Lamborghini is an Italian manufacturer of exotic mid-engine supercars. Ferruccio Lamborghini established the company as Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini S.p.A., in Sant’Agata Bolognese in 1963. The aggressive bull on the corporate coat of arms can be traced back to the head of the company, himself, born under the zodiac sign Taurus. In 1967, Lamborghini introduced the Miura, its first mid-engine two-seater. The Miura is considered by many to be the most beautiful sports car ever constructed. Today, Lamborghini is wholly owned by Volkswagen and produces only the V12-powered Aventador, though the replacement for the V-10-powered Gallardo, the Huracán, is due in 2014.
