2018 Jeep Cherokee: The 2018 Jeep Cherokee is a five-seat compact crossover SUV that competes with the Honda CR-V, Kia Sportage and Mazda CX-5. For 2018, it sees the addition of two new trims, as well as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, parking assist and power liftgate as standard features.
The Cherokee offers two engine choices: A 3.2-liter V6 that makes 271 horsepower or a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that makes 184 horsepower. Both mate to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The Cherokee is available with front-wheel or four-wheel drive. EPA-estimated fuel economy ranges from 18 mpg in the city to 29 mpg on the highway.
The Cherokee is available in six trims: Latitude, Latitude with Tech Connect, Latitude Plus, Limited, Trailhawk, and Overland. Special edition models like Altitude and High Altitude are also available. Available features include power liftgate, sunroof, fog lamp, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, cooled front seats, leather seats, heated steering wheel, infotainment system, satellite radio, navigation, adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth and USB.
Available safety features include stability control, rear cross-path detection, blind-spot monitoring, hill-start assist, lane-departure warning and dual-front, front-side, rear-side, driver- and passenger-knee and side-curtain airbags.
