2018 Ford GT: The 2018 Ford GT serves as the brand's halo car and it will compete with other low-production, high-dollar performance cars such as the Acura NSX, Porsche 911 Turbo, and supercar offerings from Ferrari and Lamborghini. For 2018 the Ford GT remains unchanged, with the exception of a new ’67 Heritage edition livery which celebrates the 1967 Le Mans-winning GT40 Mark IV race car.
The two-seat GT is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 making 647 horsepower that pairs with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The GT is rear-wheel-drive with a mid-engine layout and has an EPA-rated fuel economy of 11 mpg city and 18 mpg highway. With a top speed of 216 mph, Ford claims the GT will be the fastest production Ford in history.
