2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV: The 2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV is a five-passenger, pure electric vehicle that's slated to compete with the BMW i3 and Nissan Leaf. It's one of several electric vehicles that promise a range of over 200 miles on a single charge while remaining affordable to non-luxury buyers. It remains mostly unchanged with auto-heated steering wheel and sliding sun visors being the only changes for 2018.
The Bolt EV is capable of producing 200 hp (150 kW) of motoring power that offers an EPA-estimated 238 miles of range on a single charge. It's only offered with front-wheel drive. A 7.2 kW onboard charger for regular overnight charging from a 240-V wall box is standard, which promises a typical commute of 50 miles can be recharged in less than two hours.
Two different trims are offered: LT and Premier. Available convenience features include Android Auto and 4G LTE hotspot, infotainment system, navigation system and remote start.
Safety features include a rear camera mirror, lane-departure warning, ten airbags, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, 360-degree camera.
