Media Credential Badge


This credential is not transferable and may not be duplicated. Accompanying wristband issued by the Chicago Auto Show will be required for admission during the Media Preview. Government issued photo ID required for wristband validation. No person under the age of 18 will be admitted with this badge. This credential is property of the Chicago Auto Show and may be revoked at any time. Show management reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone. By entering the Chicago Auto Show, you consent to release all personal rights to any photographs, videos or other images owned/produced by the Chicago Auto Show and its exhibitors.

We are excited that you will be joining us for the Media Preview of the 2023 Chicago Auto Show. Here are a few things to know before you attend.

Media Credentials are valid Feb. 9 & 10. If you wish to attend during the public show, you need to make arrangements in advance by emailing mbilek@drivechicago.com.

  • You must be 18 years of age or older to attend the Media Preview.

Arrive early – Due to enhanced check-in procedures, entry may take longer than in previous years. Media should check in at the MAMA Breakfast or at the check-in desk at the Media Center. Please have the following ready at check in:

  1. Media Credential QR Code
  2. Name-matching, government-issued photo ID

Once checked in, media will receive a wristband granting access to the MAMA Breakfast and show floor.

Show Floor Access - Media Credentials provide the following access to the show floor:

  • Media Preview Day 1 (Feb. 9): 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Media Preview Day 2 (Feb. 10): 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Media Center - The Chicago Auto Show will host a POP-UP media center adjacent to the show floor in the North Hall Lobby on Thursday, Feb. 9 and Friday, Feb. 10. Hours are 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Feb. 9 and 7 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Feb. 10. Media center amenities will include hi-speed internet access, power and lockers..

Parking - For more information on parking and directions to McCormick Place, please visit our Parking & Directions page. Parking is NOT complimentary, as the lots are not operated by auto show management.

Coat Check - During the Media Preview the Chicago Auto Show provides a complimentary coat check. The coat check is located adjacent to the Grand Ballroom in the Grand Concourse. You will need a media credential to use this room for your belongings. Please note clearly posted closing times.
