Fahrvergnügen - Oh! the pleasure...

Posted by: Aaron Flatt

I feel like I am in Germany, all of the cars minus the sauerkraut and beer of course. While exploring the floor for the first time, I take in the essence that is the Chicago Auto Show, the preparation. Forklifts, cranes, and good ole' elbow grease are in abundance as everything comes together. On the floor, the Chrysler's "off-road" track is my imaginary "Swiss-Alps" where I can drive up steep terrain and go through water. After trekking on over to Volkswagen, I see "das Auto," translated, means the car. Seems very general, but will be something that people will recognize and remember, this is surely going to be a Show to remember. With the economy the way it is, this is the perfect "stay-cation" for a family. There are things for everyone to enjoy.

Exhibits range from kid attractions and the Brookfield Zoo, the more adult variety to cars for your new drivers in the family. Interactive-animal-music-videos, this is how I would describe what I saw in four words. I look forward to the rest of the experience and hope you do as well. Drive safe, and stay tuned for more adventures from the Chicago Auto Show.
