Cadillac? Mercedes? More like a Hyundai

Posted by: Kendra Newlon

Sure, the fancy Aston Martins and BMW 7-Series are eye catching, but what about the cars that the majority of us can actually afford? For that, Hyundai saved introduced the 2013 Elantra Coupe and GT Hatchback at this year's Chicago Auto Show.

The new Hyundai models set themselves apart from major competitors such as the Honda Civic and Ford Focus Hatchback by incorporating must-have tech goodies as standard features--things like a USB and auxiliary port and heated front seats. Also available are navigation system, leather seats and XM satellite radio and data services that give weather and stock reports.

Hyundai is hoping the 40 mpg highway/29 mpg city and sportier look will attract the younger audiences, and offering a sleek car for an even sleeker price won't hurt. Hyundai is showing that not all cars at the auto show are beyond the reach of the common consumer.
