Kendra Newlon is a junior at Bradley University.  She was born and raised in Hampton, Illinois (just outside the Quad Cities). She is a sports communication major with a minor in business marketing. With these, she hopes to pursue her dream career in sports journalism or marketing.

She transferred this past fall from Monmouth College in hopes to better concentrate her major. As a student at Bradley, she has had several opportunities to gain valuable skills, knowledge, leadership abilities, and experience supporting philanthropic causes both in and out of the classroom, such as Relay for Life, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and Bradley Women's Club volleyball.

She is also a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the communication honor society, and Alpha Lambda Delta honor society. She is very proud to be a Bradley Brave as a reporter for our television news station, Midstate Magazine.
