Family Fun on Wheels

Posted by: Ashley Alletto

The Chicago Auto Show attracts car lovers near and far. Besides being a car buff, it also is a great environment to bring the family for a day on the town. For people of all ages there are many different car exhibits have set up test drives, or in car driving stimulators allowing kids to experience the thrill without a license.  Ford has put together a driving track where kids can hop in an F 150 mini motorized truck to test it out for themselves.

Besides the test drives and simulators, one vehicle that kids flock to is the Toyota Sienna, which has undertaken a bikini bottom paint job. The minivan is painted to look like SpongeBob, with a ship themed steering wheel. Nothing gets a child more excited for a minivan if they can join their friends from the Krusty Krab.

Monday February 16th was Family Day at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show. The cast of Frozen made a special appearance along with Medieval Times, which had sword fights and a Rod puppet show performance.  Whether or not your young child is a car buff, nothing gets kids interest sparked about cars like the cast of Frozen singing “Let It Go” beside the luxury cars. After their performance kids can take photos with Princess Ana, Elsa and Olaf as a way to remember their fun day at the Chicago Auto Show.
