SUBARU CREATES IMMERSIVE CHICAGO AUTO SHOW ATTENDEE EXPERIENCE

Subaru returns to the Chicago Auto Show Feb. 12-21, with an engaging and immersive exhibit. Attendees who step into the Subaru display will immediately be swept away into a national park to experience the sights, smells, sounds and feelings of the wilderness. The 360-degree experience was designed in partnership with the National Park Foundation to celebrate the relationship between Subaru customers, their love for outdoor adventure and their commitment to conservation.

To bring its zero-landfill efforts to life, Subaru created the display with sustainable materials wherever possible. The automaker will continue to reuse elements from the display at future auto shows and other Subaru events, while other portions of the display will be recycled or donated. To date, Subaru has contributed $68 million to help preserve America’s national parks.

Additionally, as part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, Subaru is partnering again with local animal shelters to host pet adoptions each day of the public show. Since Subaru began hosting adoption events at auto shows in 2018, more than 200 pets have been adopted and countless local shelters supported.

“At Subaru, we look forward to opportunities that help our furry friends in need, and we want to return the unconditional love they show us each day,” said Alan Bethke, senior vice president of marketing, Subaru of America, Inc. “We have seen great success in our adoption events at auto shows over the years, so in the spirit of bringing joy to both shelter pets and prospective owners, we are excited to continue the tradition at auto shows this season.”

“Subaru is thrilled to return to the Chicago Auto Show this year, bringing with us our interactive exhibit showcasing our commitment to protecting and preserving our national parks through our work with the National Park Foundation, as well as a pet adoption booth,” said Kerry Ann Nolan, auto shows and events manager, Subaru of America, Inc. “These immersive displays bring to life our values, and we hope deliver a memorable experience as well. Our goal is that all who stop by our booth learn something new about preserving America’s treasured parks, and consider adopting a new pet.”

While the national park immersive exhibit and dog adoptions will lure fans in, it’s the automaker’s brand-new vehicle lineup that will take center stage. On display will be the new Subaru Ascent, BRZ, Crosstrek, Forester, Forester Wilderness, Impreza, Legacy, Outback, Outback Wilderness, Solterra (the brand’s first-ever all-electric SUV), WRX and WRX STI. Subaru will also offer outdoor test drives for attendees to experience many of these new vehicles. Consumers can sign up in Subaru’s exhibit or in the West transportation lobby, which is located at the base of the escalators one level below the show floor.
