FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Nissan Debuts Rogue Sport and Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition
during the Chicago Auto Show Media Preview

CHICAGO (Feb. 7, 2019) – Nissan unveiled the 2020 Rogue Sport and 2019 Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition during the 2019 Chicago Auto Show Media Preview on Feb. 7. As new additions to Nissan’s lineup of SUVs and crossovers, the 2020 Rogue Sport builds on extensive 2019 model year enhancements and the 2019 Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition adds unique adventure-ready style to the Pathfinder.

“Our Rogue Sport is a critical vehicle in Nissan’s popular CUV lineup, slotted strategically between the Nissan Kicks and Rogue,” said Scott Shirley, vice president, chief marketing manager and marketing operations, Nissan North America, Inc. “We’re committed to keeping our crossover/SUV portfolio fresh – which also includes the redesigned Murano, new Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition and flagship Armada. Nissan is on a roll and we’re not letting up heading into 2020.”

The 2020 Rogue Sport expands on the long list of enhancements for the 2019 model year including the addition of available ProPILOT Assist and Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology (automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, lane departure warning, radar-based blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert and high beam assist). The Rogue Sport also receives an updated audio system with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration and available Bose audio system with nine speakers.

Physically, the Rogue Sport receives a fresh new front-end appearance along with redesigned rear tail lamps, revised trim level and option package content.

Shirley noted, “Rogue Sport is doing great in the marketplace, and the 2020 model will keep that momentum going strong.”

The 2019 Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition is a special value option package offering unique exterior and interior treatments that emphasize Pathfinder’s rugged heritage. The package is offered on Pathfinder SV and SL grades, in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive configurations, with two additional equipment packages and in a choice of seven available exterior colors.

A revised front end with new front bumper, grille, hood and headlights come standard on the Rock Creek Edition. Two new colors, Nitro Lime Metallic and Monarch Orange Metallic, complete the exterior look and are sure to make it stand out.

“Customers love to create their own sense of standard style in their vehicles and, in the Rock Creek Edition, we are going beyond one edition fits all,” said Shirley.

As one of the most popular nameplates for more than thirty years, the Pathfinder gives families a reason for more adventure. Notable features include unique seating and trim treatment with two-toned seating, high contrast stitching and premium metallic trim fill the interior. Additional features include selectable four-wheel drive, hill-descent control, 18-inch wheels, wider tires and blacked out grille roof rails. The standard trailer hitch for the Pathfinder has a towing capability of 6,000 pounds.

The Rogue Sport is set for sale this fall; pricing has yet to be announced. The Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition will go on sale this spring with a package price of $995, reflecting a $1,315 savings versus similar equipment priced separately.
