COOPER TIRE DEBUTS AS LATEST CHICAGO AUTO SHOW MEDIA PREVIEW SPONSOR

CHICAGO (Jan. 30, 2020) – Cooper Tire is rolling into the Windy City as the Chicago Auto Show Media Preview’s brand-new tire sponsor. With this designation, Cooper Tire will have branding rights of the two-day Media Preview event, held Feb. 6-7 at McCormick Place. Cooper Tire invites media guests to experience first-hand the stress-free feeling drivers get when they “Go with the Coopers” by relaxing in between press conferences on custom Cooper tire swings in the North Hall Ticket Lobby.

“The phrase ‘Go with the Coopers’ recognizes that consumers have a lot of anxiety and frustration related to tire purchases,” said Jessica Egerton, Cooper Tire’s director of brand development. “‘Go with the Coopers’ is meant to embody the feeling of confidence you get from choosing a tire that is exactly suited to your needs along with the peace of mind from a 106-year-old company that is well known for making excellent tires.”

Egerton is also invited to offer her expertise on the Chicago Auto Show’s What Drives Her Luncheon panel “Challenging the Status Quo to Build a Career in Automotive” on Feb. 7. The luncheon event, now in its fourth year, is a collaboration between show organizers, A Girls Guide to Cars and Women in Automotive where influential women come together to highlight industry trends and share personal experiences surrounding the important impact that females have on the automotive industry. The overarching event theme this year will focus on how women are shifting the public conversation, how they are building careers in automotive and how they are impacting sales and economic trends. Egerton will be joined by Hyundai’s Chief Marketing Officer Angela Zepeda and Porsche North America’s Director of Experiential Marketing Keitha Blackburn, and moderating the discussion will be MediaPost’s Senior Reporter Tanya Gazdik.

“We’re thrilled to have Cooper Tire involved in our show’s Media Preview this year, and think it’s great that they’re taking advantage of various opportunities including What Drives Her, which has become a cornerstone industry event over the years,” said Chicago Auto Show Chairman Tony Guido. “We hope to build a long-lasting partnership with this iconic brand.”

As the nation's largest auto show, the Chicago Auto Show features more than 1 million square feet of exhibit space showcasing brand-new vehicle introductions and a complete range of domestic and imported passenger cars, trucks, sport-utility vehicles, minivans and concept cars. In all, nearly 1,000 different vehicles will be on display including hundreds of interactive, aftermarket, accessory and auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles, antique and collector cars.

The 2020 Chicago Auto Show will also feature four indoor test track experiences, three outdoor ride-and-drive opportunities and dozens of interactive exhibits located throughout the show floor.
