CHICAGO AUTO SHOW INTRODUCES FIRST RESPONDERS AND MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY ON FEB. 15

This February, Chicago Auto Show organizers will host a First Responders and Military Appreciation Day on Tuesday, Feb. 15. On this day, all first responders (police officers, EMTs, paramedics and firefighters) and U.S. Military (veterans or active duty) receive a complimentary admission when they present their badge or military ID for complimentary. Moreover, guests who accompany first responders or military personnel will receive a voucher for $5 off an adult admission.

New Illinois Law Removes Trade-In Tax Credit Cap

Thanks to a new law effective Jan. 1, 2022, retail vehicle buyers now receive the full tax credit on trade-ins. This new provision, part of Senate Bill 58 that was supported by both the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) and Illinois Automotive Dealers Association, reverses the $10,000 cap that was set in 2020 as part of Gov. Pritzker’s Rebuild Illinois capital infrastructure plan.
