HAWK AUTO GROUP AND GOLF MILL FORD OWNER ELECTED TO CHICAGO AUTOMOBILE TRADE ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
John Crane, owner of Hawk Auto Group and Golf Mill Ford, was elected to the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) board of directors this month.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be elected to the CATA board,” said Crane. “Given the economic climate, it’s more important than ever to work within the franchise dealer system to provide fair pricing and quality service of today’s exceedingly complex vehicles. I look forward to working with my fellow directors and serving Chicagoland’s new-car dealers.”
Crane, born in Chicago and currently a resident of Homer Glen, is the owner of the Hawk Auto Group (Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Ford, Mazda, Subaru and Volkswagen) and Golf Mill Ford. He began working exclusively in the auto industry in 1993 and purchased his first dealership in 2003.
A Lockport High School alum, Crane graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics and Spanish from the University of Illinois and received his M.A. from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Porsche Club of America and Autobahn Country Club in Joliet. Crane is active in charitable organizations, supporting JDRF, the local YMCA, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Will County and the Chikumbuso Women and Orphans Project.
