CLASSIC TOYOTA AND KIA OWNER ELECTED TO CHICAGO AUTOMOBILE TRADE ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Fred Marks, owner of Classic Toyota and Kia of Waukegan, Illinois, was elected to the Chicago Automobile Trade Association (CATA) board of directors this month.

“I am excited to serve on the board of one of the nation’s largest and oldest metropolitan new-car dealer associations,” said Marks. “From helping reduce the tax on vehicle leasing in Illinois to producing the nation’s largest auto show, the CATA works to serve its membership and Chicagoland as a whole.”

Marks, born in LaGrange, Illinois, and currently a resident of Lake Forest, Illinois, began working exclusively in the auto industry at a young age and became a dealership owner in 2007.

An alum of Libertyville High School, Marks graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a B.A. in Finance and went on to get his MBA from DePaul University. He is also a NADA Academy Graduate.

Marks is a director of the Western Golf Association and a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Lake Forest.
