Look Before You Lock

Posted by: Clara McDowell

The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers reminds us that as summer rolls around, not only to enjoy the warm weather, but to make sure we are keeping our loved ones safe.  The inside of a parked car can quickly exceed 120 degrees, making it lethal to children.

Last year, 39 children died from heatstroke as a result of being left unattended in vehicles.

Heatstroke is a prominent threat to smaller children, because their bodies heat up 3 to 5 times faster than adults.  So, while you are enjoying the nice weather and commuting to fun summer events, remember not to leave your little tikes in the car.
