First Look for Charity Black-Tie Gala Kicks off the 2014 CAS

Posted by: Emily Pagoria

The First Look for Charity Gala was held at McCormick Place on Friday, February 7.  The gala supports 18 Chicagoland charities, and, this year, helped raise more than $2.3 million dollars. This benevolent black-tie event allows attendees to preview the cars on display while enjoying lavish cuisines, beverages and entertainment.

International dishes represented countries including Italy, Germany, Japan, Mexico and the USA.  They were served across the show floor in between dealer exhibits.  Live performances from Sixteen Candles, Lee DeWyze and The Chicago Six entertained guests while they mingled.

Toyota donated a 2014 Highlander and Corolla to the event, which was raffled off to two lucky attendees.  The winner of the Corolla donated his winnings to Misericordia, a charity that supports children and adults with developmental disabilities.  Chicago natives such as Jesse White also made an appearance at the event.  The First Look for Charity Gala was an enormous success and a perfect opening for what is sure to be the best Chicago Auto Show yet.
