All-new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500

GMC Sierra Marketing Manager Kenn Bakowski addressed the Midwest Automotive Media Association (MAMA) audience to highlight the all-new 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 full-size pickup truck. What used to be widely recognized as a "work truck," GMC continues to rebrand itself as it becomes more mainstream. In fact, Bakowski described the pick-up as the "most powerful, most advanced and most refined truck" in GMC’s 111-year history.

The major updates include:
* All-new design advances GMC’s 111-year legacy
* Segment-best standard V-6 torque and trailering – and best V-8 fuel economy
* New double cab design enhances rear-seat entry and exit
* Next-generation IntelliLink connectivity
* Exceptional attention to detail

Bakowski said while technology is important to Sierra buyers, safety is at the top of the radar. Several safety feature are available in the new Sierra 1500 including Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning.

In addition to all-new design and technology, the 2014 Sierra includes the longest list of standard features ever for a full-size GMC pickup. From connectivity solutions, to a standard tie-down system in the rear, to the segment’s only standard projector beam headlamps, many premium features are found on each 2014 Sierra.

The 2014 Sierra 1500 begins at $32,700 and achieves 18/24 mpg. The all-new Sierra 1500 will begin arriving at dealerships this summer; the 2014 Sierra Denali full-size pickup truck arrives at dealerships this fall.
