INDOOR TEST TRACKS 

Requirements for participation vary with each manufacturer. 

Camp Jeep

The fan-favorite Camp Jeep track returns for the 2026 Chicago Auto Show. Without even leaving the show floor, attendees can experience Camp Jeep’s thrill rides on an interactive indoor off-road course. A Chicago Auto Show staple since 2005, Camp Jeep has provided more than 600,000 test rides at the show. 

Camp Jeep’s “Mountain” is 28 ft. with a 45-degree approach. The rigorous course is comprised of several obstacles that stimulate some of the testing Jeep vehicles endure before customers get behind the wheel. 

All riders must be 44″ tall in order to participate. Ages 13 and under must ride in the backseat. 

Ford Built Wild  

‘BUILT WILD’ showcases the capability of Ford’s Bronco family of vehicles. The highlight is a Bronco off-road course, where visitors will tackle a 38-degree Bronco Mountain. You’ll feel the thrill of the climb while learning more about impressive Bronco tech like G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Terrain), mode capabilities and technology that makes off-roading even more exciting and intelligent.

Riders must be 44″ tall.  

Chicago Drives Electric  

Thanks to a continued partnership with ComEd, the Chicago Drives Electric track will return to the Chicago Auto Show in 2026. 

The battery-powered electric vehicle test track allows attendees to go for a ride in some of the latest battery-powered electric vehicles.

Participating manufacturers include BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Kia, Lucid, Polestar and VinFast.

NEW! Chicago Drives Gas-Powered Track

Making its debut this year, Chicago Drives, powered by the Chicago Auto Show, is an all-new indoor, gas-powered vehicle test track that puts attendees right in the passenger seat. This immersive experience gives guests the chance to ride along in a lineup of gas and hybrid vehicles, feeling firsthand how today’s latest models perform in a dynamic indoor environment.

Participating manufacturers include Chevrolet, Kia and Volkswagen.

OUTDOOR TEST DRIVES  

Sign up in manufacturer booth. Requirements for participation vary with each manufacturer. All require a valid driver’s license and breathalyzer to drive. 

The 2026 Chicago Auto Show will offer attendees the opportunity to get behind the wheel for a test drive. Test drives operate every day. You can sign up for the test drives on the show floor.

Participating manufacturers include Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Ford, Jeep, Ram, Subaru, Tesla and Toyota.
