2024 Ford Mustang: The Ford Mustang is new for 2024, welcoming seventh generation of the pony car codenamed S650. The new model brings all-new exterior and interior styling, as well as new trims, new performance packs, and a new attitude to the legendary Detroit brawler. Among the updates is the discontinuation of the V6 engine, which is replaced by the turbocharged 4-cylinder EcoBoost, and a new flagship GT model called the Dark Horse. Mustang is a rear-wheel-drive sports car that seats four passengers and is offered as a 2-door coupe and convertible. Competitors include the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger.
Five trims are offered: EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT Premium, and Dark Horse. Three engines are offered: A turbocharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder with 315 horsepower, a 5.0-liter V8 with 480 horsepower, and a 5.0-liter V8 with 500 horsepower in the Dark Horse. Transmission offerings include a 6-speed manual and a 10-speed automatic. Only rear-wheel-drive models are available. Pricing ranges from $33,000 to $62,000.
