2016 LAMBOGHINI HURACAN LP 610-4 SPYDER: Like a magnetic core, Lamborghini super cars draw large crowds to its exhibit at the annual Chicago Auto Shows. One of two Lamborghini's on display at this year's show is the 2016 Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 Spyder with removable soft top roof. In modern Spanish, huracán means hurricane, which totally applies to this 201-mph streamlined beauty from Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy. It's constructed using the finest materials that are merged with adrenaline-pumping performance and open sky motoring. Behind the driver and passenger is the roar of the 610-horsepower 5.2-liter V-10 engine, which comes mated with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic and four-wheel drive system. As you would expect, the exotic Huracan can rocket from 0-to-62 mph in 3.4-seconds, and 0-to-124 mph in 10.2-sec. Bringing the car to a swift stop is a dual hydraulic circuit brake system with vacuum booster, and front and rear carbo-ceramic brakes. The low-slung Huracan Spyder has a hybrid aluminum and carbon fiber frame; a body outer skin made from aluminum and composite materials; is barely 3-ft. 9-in. from the soft top to the asphalt, and has an excellent weight distribution of 43% front and 57% rear. Buyers can opt for a transparent engine cover and special LED lighting system to accentuate the engine bay. Sounding nearly as good as the rumbles from the V-10 engine is Lamborghini's Sensonum audio setup that includes ten speakers and a 390-watt amplifier. Pirelli Pzero tires frame the 20-inch front and rear rims. For the record, a Lamborghini model can spend up to 250 hours in the paint shop, including the application of four-gallons of paint, meticulous hands-on detailing between coats, drying times and 50 hours of polishing to perfection.
