2014 GMC TERRAIN: GMC Terrain is one of the most popular compact SUV/crossovers, available in SLE, SLT and Denali trim levels for the 2014 model year. Each series can be ordered with front-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations, as well as four-wheel disc brakes with StabiliTrak electronic stability and traction control. Visually, each ’14 Terrain wears a bold chrome grille, body-color fascias and rocker moldings, satin-chrome accents, unique headlamp and taillamp designs, and dual chrome-finish exhaust outlets (single outlet with the 2.4L). Denali-specific 18-inch (with the 2.4L) or 19-inch (with the 3.6L) wheels complete its sculpted appearance. Standard engine is the 182 horsepower Ecotec 2.4-liter four-cylinder featuring direct injection and camshaft phasing to optimize performance and fuel efficiency – enabling EPA-rated 32 mpg on the highway (FWD models). An available 3.6L V-6 with direct injection and continuously variable valve timing creates 301hp and 272 lb.-ft. of torque.  An efficient six-speed automatic transmission is stock equipment on all models and an “Eco” transmission mode on 2.4L-equipped models alters shift points to improve fuel economy. The 2.4L trailer towing maximum is 1500 pounds, while the 3.6L more than doubles that figure to 3500 lbs. Interior highlights for the Terrain Denali offer a sophisticated five-passenger cabin feel with soft-touch leather lining the seats and door inserts. There is 31.6 cu. ft. of cargo volume behind the rear seat, or, when the rear seat is folded down, a total of 63.9 cu.ft. opens up behind the front seat.
