Chevrolet "Make Strides" Against Breast Cancer

Posted by: Julie Piatek

For the third year in a row, Chevrolet has teamed up with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to unite in finding a cure for breast cancer. The nationwide, grassroots campaign supports the ACS' Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks and other local activities to help take a stand against breast cancer through awareness, protection and early detection.

Chevrolet provides local communities many ways to get involved in the fight against breast cancer, including:

  • More Hope Per Gallon: On November 2 and/or November 16, Chicagoans can visit a local Chevy dealer to test drive a car. Chevy will donate $10 to the American Cancer Society for each test drive.
  • Service for Strides:* Customers can bring their Chevy vehicle into participating dealerships for Chevrolet Certified Service, opt to contribute their eligible service rebate, and Chevrolet will match their contribution. To partake:
    • Visit a participating Chevy dealer in the month of October or November and choose a brake pad installation OR an oil change with 4-tire rotation and 27-point inspection from Chevrolet Certified Service.
    • Contribute all or part of your eligible rebate to support the fight against breast cancer when you fill out your rebate form from your dealer.
    • Mail a copy of your repair order with either your printed online confirmation page or your completed rebate form from your dealer.

*Make sure to call your local Chevy dealer to ensure they're participating in this program.

As the largest corporate sponsor, Chevrolet and its dealers are proud to have raised more than $2 million for the American Cancer Society.

Help Chevy make strides against breast cancer and share your experience on Twitter using hashtag #chevymakingstrides.
