2014 SUBARU LEGACY: Redesigned last year, the Legacy midsize four-door sedan receives standard upgrades on specific models, and a list of new options for 2014 model year. The five-passenger Legacy lineup includes the Legacy 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 3.6R, 3.6R Premium and 3.6R Limited trim levels. New this year is an optional integrated navigation system that includes Aha Infotainment smartphone on the popular Legacy Sport. Exterior styling includes a sportier front styling with new headlights, grille and front bumper. New alloy wheel package for 2.5i model includes 17-inch alloy wheels, R17 all-season tires and fog lights with chrome trim rings. The '14 Legacy includes a revised suspension for smoother, quieter ride with enhanced agility. Available driver-assist systems include pre-collision braking, lane departure and sway warning, as well as a system capable of pedestrian detection. This is the fifth-generation Legacy, providing buyers a choice of three engines and three transmissions. The normally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder creates 170 horsepower, while the 3.6L six-cylinder in the 3.6R models generating 256hp. Depending on setups, powerplants come linked to a six-speed manual gearbox, five-speed automatic or the continuously variable transmission (CVT). As are all 2014 Subaru models, every Legacy is equipped as standard with Symmetrical all-wheel drive, which sets it apart among competitors. Adaptive control comes on all CVT transmission models. Tastefully five-passenger cabin feature a standard Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity and audio streaming, and a Harman/Kardon audio system is now available, as is the best-in-class 14.7 cu. ft. trunk. The electroluminescent illumination instrument cluster with the center mounted color LCD display is optional on the 2.5i Premium model with the Eyesight system. A rear vision camera comes with power moonroof package on specific models.
