2014 Honda Andretti Autosport # 25

HONDA ANDRETTI AUTOSPORT # 25: IndyCar fans attending the 2014 Chicago Auto Show get to view Marco Andretti’s Honda powered # 25 Snapple racing car. Andretti Autosport, and Mutual of Omaha branding are included as sponsors. Piloted by series veteran and third-generation racer Marco Andretti, the machine will compete in the IZOD IndyCar Series Championship. The open-wheel, single-seat, open-cockpit car runs on 100 percent fuel-grade ethanol, making the IndyCar Series the only major motorsports series to use a renewable fuel. IndyCar Series cars produce approximately 650 horsepower and reach top speeds of approximately 230 mph. Andretti’s #25 IndyCar generate 5,000 pounds of downforce at 220 mph, enough to allow the car to run upside down if that speed is maintained. Each of the eight pistons in an IndyCar Series engine travels nearly 1 mile up and down in the cylinder every minute. An IndyCar Series car accelerates from 0 to 100 mph in less than three seconds, more than nine seconds quicker than it takes a production Porsche 911 Turbo street car to reach the same speed. “All Natural Snapple” is the primary sponsor on the No. 25 Andretti Autosport entry. With a timeline mirroring that of the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indianapolis 500-mile race, it is only fitting that Mutual of Omaha, one of the greatest names in insurance, has also found a home with one of the greatest names in racing. “
