2014 CADILLAC CTS SPORTS SEDAN: All new for the 2014 model year, the third-generation Cadillac CTS Sedan takes on the midsize luxury market with expanded performance, elevated luxury and sophisticated technology. Cadillac’s shield grille and signature vertical lighting elements – including LED front signature lighting detail – evolve on the CTS. The grille is wider, with a more detailed texture, while the headlamps flow up with the hood line, incorporating crystalline LED light guides with more uniform illumination. Active grille shutters are included on some models, improving aerodynamic performance on the highway to enhance fuel efficiency.  Visually, the CTS is longer, lower and more muscular in appearance, with a wheelbase lengthened by 1.2-inch., and roofline lower one inch. Although the ’14 CTS has increased dimensions, it also contains lightweight technologies, including aluminum door structures, which contribute to lower curb weight and 50/50 weight balance. Inside the luxurious five-passenger cabin are integrated technology, and a selection from eight available trim levels that contain authentic wood, carbon fiber or aluminum appointments. Leather seating is available, including available full semi-aniline leather, with hand-crafted, cut-and-sewn surfaces.  The Sports Sedan's trunk offers 13.6 cubic feet of luggage room. Based on the high-performing rear-wheel architecture of the ATS sport sedan, the CTS offers a range of powertains, including the brand new Twin-Turbo that delivers 420 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic. Additional powerplants include the 272 hp 2.0L turbocharged four cylinder, and a naturally aspirated 3.6L V-6 rated at 321 hp. Each of those engines are linked to six-speed automatics, and both the six-and eight-speed gearboxes are electronically controlled and come with steering wheel paddles. Consumers have a choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations.
