FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHICAGO (February 6, 2014) – Toyota Motorsports announced its partnership with Daytona Rising during the Media Preview of the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. Daytona Rising broke ground on the new Daytona International Speedway in July of 2013.

“Daytona Rising is a complete reimagining in the fan and sponsor experience,” said Lesa France Kennedy, CEO of International Speedway Corporation (ISC).

With racing roots dating back two generations, Kennedy’s grandfather, Bill France Sr. founded NASCAR in 1948 and built the Daytona Speedway. Toyota has been a prevalent brand in the motorsport industry for many years, and it is the first automotive company to announce its sponsorship with Daytona Rising.

“What ISC is doing at Daytona is simply amazing and we want to be part of it,” said Bob Carter, senior vice president of Automotive Operations for Toyota. “Our logo will be proudly adorned for one of the entrances of the track known as the Toyota Injector.”

During the Media Preview, a concept video of the Toyota Injector demonstrated Toyota cars on display, interactive features, updated technology and comfortable amenities. The Daytona International Speedway, with the Toyota Injector, plans to open in early 2016, in time for the 2016 Rolex 24 at Daytona and the Daytona 500.
