TOYOTA DEBUTS THE TOYOTA DRIVE CENTER AND TOYOTA PROVING GROUNDS TO HIGHLIGHT TUNDRA AT THE 2022 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW

Toyota today announced that it will debut an all-new indoor test track - the Toyota Drive Center - at the 2022 Chicago Auto Show to showcase the 2022 Tundra. The indoor Tundra test track is one of six indoor tracks featured at this year's auto show - more than ever before - giving attendees plenty of opportunity to get behind the wheel and experience a variety of vehicles back-to-back all under one roof.

Attendees of the Chicago Auto Show, held Feb. 12-21 at McCormick Place, can visit the Toyota Drive Center - adjacent to the Toyota display - to experience the all-new, completely redesigned 2022 Tundra. Toyota's track features an articulation rack to showcase the new high-strength boxed, steel-ladder frame, aluminum-reinforced composite bed and fully redesigned multi-link rear suspension of the Tundra. Also making its Chicago Auto Show debut is the Toyota Proving Grounds, offering multiple surfaces designed to showcase the off-road upgrades found on the new Tundra, including Multi-Terrain Select and CRAWL Control.

"For the first time ever, Toyota will bring the Toyota Tundra track to the Windy City and the Chicago Auto Show, giving drivers a close look at the all-new 2022 Toyota Tundra, including Capstone, in a wide range of driving surfaces and conditions," said Wylon Harper, general manager for Toyota Motor North America, Chicago Region. "The latest Toyota Tundra is the toughest, most capable and most advanced to date and will no doubt capture the attention of guests to the auto show in an important market for Toyota."

Visitors of the track will ride with professional drivers who will provide an enjoyable, educational and safe experience and will demonstrate the incredible towing technology found on the new Tundra, including Trailer Back Guidance and Straight Path Assist. Additionally, Toyota product specialists will be onsite throughout the entire show to address consumer questions.

"Toyota's indoor track builds on the momentum from our summer show, where nearly 40 percent of attendees took a test drive or ride - a number we're hoping to top this year!" said Chicago Auto Show Chairman Bill Haggerty. "We look forward to welcoming fans back to the Chicago Auto Show this February to experience a wide range of cars, trucks and SUVs - including EVs - all under one roof."

In addition to experiencing the Tundra test track activation, attendees of the Chicago Auto Show will be among the first to see the recently unveiled 2023 Sequoia. According to the brand, the three-row SUV is all new from the ground up, and it aims to elevate the full-size segment with luxurious comfort, impressive technology and breath-taking performance from an efficient new hybrid powertrain.
