TOYOTA UNVEILS ALL-NEW TUNDRA FULL-SIZE PICKUP TRUCK AT 2013 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW

CHICAGO (February 7, 2013) - Toyota unveiled its all-new 2014 Tundra during the 2013 Chicago Auto Show Media Preview. The Tundra is the third vehicle that Toyota has released in the last ten months and is a full-size pickup truck aimed to appeal to luxury buyers. According to Toyota, the Tundra is built to accommodate all lifestyles - from an urban city to rugged terrain.

"We listened to what the customers were telling us while redesigning the Tundra," said Bill Fay, group vice president and general manager, Toyota Division. "Full-size pickups are a way of life."

Toyota has expanded the Tundra lineup to include two new premium trim levels, now offering buyers five options. Toyota is hoping these new line additions will target the increasingly expanding range of truck consumers who are seeking upscale features.

With the unique capabilities of the Tundra, sleek yet rugged exterior design, each grade has its own identity. The five different grades offer an urban contemporary edge, a western flair and various specs to assist with everyday life. Additional features include a new bumper, which breaks down from one to three pieces - lowering customer replacement costs - a new blind spot monitor, larger front brakes, traffic alerts and smart stop technology.

With the Tundra's unique premium interior and dynamic new styling, Toyota strives to appeal to its loyal buyers. The 1.6-inch raised hood, new bed design and a different grill for each line further differentiates the 2014 model. The Tundra is expected to go on sale in September 2014.
