Toyota Introduces 2015 Sienna with its First-ever Online Reveal

To showcase the updated Sienna – or the Toyota-dubbed “Swagger Wagon” – Toyota partnered with three different sets of creative, social media savvy parents (Eh Bee Family, Action Movie Kid and Convos with my 2-year Old) and invited them to introduce the Sienna’s new features and functionality.

The “Eh Bee” family created six-second Vine videos using funny moments about falling in love with “Sienna” and an over-eagerness to take it on a road trip. The Eh Bee family gained social media fame through lighthearted humor and poking fun at parenthood through stories that are relatable to all parents.

The viral YouTube sensation “Action Movie Kid” used special effects to take the Sienna into space and underwater. Dreamworks after-effects artist Daniel “Hashi” Hashimoto uses YouTube to post every-day home videos of his son, but adds special effects that virtually give his son superhuman powers (such as jumping in a puddle and disappearing).

“Convos with My 2-Year-Old” – a YouTube series with a dad who reenacts conversations with his two year-old but replaces her with a grown man – used this amusing format to create “Conversations with My Sienna.”

“Swagger Wagon” Features

The 2015 Sienna boasts a refreshed interior, improved suspension and family-focused, smart technology. With the entire family in mind, the Driver Easy Speak feature allows parents to use the vehicle's built-in microphone to talk to passengers in the back so they don’t have to shout. Great for long road trips, parents and kids alike will benefit from the split screen rear-seat entertainment system. Soft touch materials throughout and an optional black leather interior help families embrace the minivan lifestyle.

Additional new features include:

  • An optional 4.2-inch, color multi-information display can put turn-by-turn directions in the redesigned driver’s instrument panel.
  • Available LED daytime running lights and headlights and a redesigned front grill.
  • Capacitive switches on the available and customizable 7-inch touchscreen allowing users to swipe items on and off.
  • An optional pull-down, conversation mirror lets the driver check on passengers without turning around.
  • Available black leather interior with white contrast stitching.

More safety features also come standard in the Sienna. The vehicle has eight airbags, the most in its class, a standard panoramic backup camera – that now comes with virtual guide – and four LATCH locations for car seat installation ease.

The Sienna will also make its Midwest debut at Chicago’s biggest music fest, Lollapalooza – held Aug. 1-3 – and will be the focal point of the Sienna Swagger Station in the Kidzapalooza area of the Lollapalooza grounds.
