Chicago Auto Show Blog

A year ago, a friend of mine left school for a week to go on a trip to Chicago. She unapologetically drowned my Instagram feed in photos to the point that I contemplating unfollowing her until she returned to average college student life. Ten photos in 3 hours? Seriously? Kanye West doesn't post that much and he's literally in love with himself! I couldn't help but to keep scrolling through them, though - she looked like she was having such an amazing time! 

 

I saw her on campus later that week and drilled her with questions about her fantastic trip. It turned out that her "trip" was actually an internship - the Chicago Auto Show internship. She raved about all of the different things she got to do and people she got to meet. I knew I had to be there. So, one year later, here I am! It's weird to think that a conversation I remember so vividly happened over a year ago.

 

Arriving at the show venue reached well beyond expectations. The sheer size of the building had me in complete awe. The other interns and I spent most of the day prepping media materials, but when you're excited about what you're doing, stuffing canvas bags seems like a dream!
