Welcome, and thank you for attending the 109th edition of the Chicago Auto Show.
It might come as a surprise to many that this year the Chicago Auto Show is 116 years old. How does a show like ours
last so long and stay so successful? Because every edition is new and different than the one before.
There are fans of the Chicago Auto show with 30-, 40-, even 50-year streaks of attending the show every year. Look,
there’s no doubt these streakers are true fans of the show, but let’s face it: Nobody gets past five-in-a-row with a show
that’s stale or boring. Streakers come back year after year to see fresh designs and get a glimpse of new technology they
can’t see anywhere else.
We see it every day of the show as people
line up in the Grand Concourse prior to the
gates opening, and we see it on our social media
channels all year long, but especially as the show
approaches and the calendar flips from January to
February.
This year’s show will not disappoint the first-
time attendee or the decades-long streaker. The
show has 55,000 square feet more automaker
displays, up 75,000 square feet from two
years ago. The automakers’ displays make this
industry’s products come alive. There is so much
new technology on cars and trucks today, so it’s
important that you take the time to learn all about
it.
A new-car purchase is a huge investment
and it’s important to do plenty of research and
understand what you are buying. That’s what
makes the show such an important part of the
process of shopping for a new vehicle. Everything
the industry has to offer is all in one place.
Be sure to download the official Chicago Auto
Show app – even if you already attended the
show. Just by doing so, you have the opportunity
