Lincoln

Lincoln is Ford's luxury division and has a long history of selling upscale vehicles. Wilfred Leland, formed The Lincoln Motor Company in 1917. Leland named the new company after Abraham Lincoln, his hero and for whom he cast a vote in 1864. Ford Motor Company purchased the Lincoln Motor Company in 1922. Today, Lincoln produces a line of luxury cars and crossovers. Headquartered in Dearborn, Mich., Lincoln is still wholly owned by Ford Motor Co.
