2024 Volkswagen Jetta: The Volkswagen Jetta gets new active safety tech features as standard for 2024, as well as new interior options depending on trim. The Jetta is a compact car that seats 5 passengers and is only offered as a 4-door sedan. Competitors include the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Kia Forte, Mazda 3 Sedan, Nissan Sentra and Subaru Impreza. A sporty version is also offered.

Five trims are offered: S, Sport, SE, SEL, and GLI. Two engines are offered: A turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder that makes 158 horsepower and mates to either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic transmission. A turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produces 228 horsepower pairs with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (GLI). Only front-wheel-drive models are offered. Pricing ranges from $22,000 to $35,000.
