2024 Volkswagen ID.4: The Volkswagen ID.4 see the addition of an upgraded electric motor in certain trims, which provide more power. It also gets a range increase between 8 and 16 miles depending on trim, and a new 12.9-inch touchscreen. The ID.4 is an electric car that seats 5 passengers and is only offered as a 4-door wagon. Competitors include the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6 and Tesla Model Y.

Five trims are offered: Standard, Standard S, Pro, Pro S, and Pro S Plus. One drivetrain is available with two battery sizes: A 58-kWh battery delivers 201 horsepower and 263 miles of range, while a 77-kWh battery that produces 330 horsepower delivers 291 miles of range. Front-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive being optional. Pricing ranges from $41,000 to $63,000.
