2024 Subaru Outback: The Subaru Outback remains unchanged 2024, with only the Wilderness trim getting a slightly different grille and bumper. Outback is a high-riding wagon that seats 5 passengers and comes standard with all-wheel drive. Competitors include the Audi Allroad and Mini Clubman.

Eight trims are offered: Base, Premium, Limited, Onyx Edition XT, Wilderness, Touring, Limited XT, and Touring XT. Two engines are available: A 2.5-liter 4-cylinder that makes 182 horsepower and a turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder that makes 260 horsepower. Both pair to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Only all-wheel-drive models are offered. Pricing ranges from $30,000 to $44,000.
