2022 GMC Acadia: The GMC Acadia's old base trim is axed for 2022, with SLE becoming the new entry model. The once-optional, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is now standard. Acadia is a midsize SUV that seats 5, 6, or 7 passengers depending on configuration and is only available as a 4-door wagon. Competitors include the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Buick Enclave, Lexus RX and Ford Explorer.
Four trims are available: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. Two engines are available: A turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produces 228 horsepower and a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 310 horsepower. All pair to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard with all-wheel drive being optional. Maximum towing capacity is rated at 4,000 pounds. Pricing ranges from $29,000 to $46,000.
