2022 Ford F-150: The best-selling vehicle in the US for decades, the F-150 sees the addition of new tech features and trim packages for 2022. F-150 is a full-size, half-ton pickup truck that seats 3 to 6 passengers depending on configuration. Regular cab, SuperCab and SuperCrew body styles are offered. Competitors include the Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, Nissan Titan, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra. High-performance off-road and hybrid variants are available.
Eight trims are offered: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor. Five engines are offered: A 3.3-liter V6 with 290 horsepower, a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 with 325 horsepower, a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with 400 horsepower, and a 5.0-liter V8 with 400 horsepower. The PowerBoost hybrid features a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with an electric motor and a battery pack for a total output of 430 horsepower. Rear-wheel drive is standard with four-wheel drive being optional.
The Raptor is the high-performance off-road variant of the F-150, and is only offered as a SuperCarb and SuperCrew with the turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. It features bigger all-terrain tires, off-road wheels, Fox suspension, and different interior and exterior design. The PowerBoost trim is the hybrid of the lineup, featuring an optional Pro Power Onboard electric generator that can operate power tools and appliances. It can generate up to 7,200 watts. Pricing ranges from $32,000 to $75,000.
